Our company is our people

An overused phrase yes, but in our case a perfect summary of our unique position. We choose to remain a small yet focused company so we can maintain and build the "personal" contacts we need to deliver results to our clients. Our business is a bespoke "people" business - definitely not a mass production, computer-driven one. With the core team having worked together for well over 10 years, our clients get the benefit of our individual and cumulative experience but always receive that personal attention.

John Allies

For over 20 years John has held senior licensing positions in International Blue Chip organisations e.g. Burmah Castrol, Lucas, TI and Surface Technology plc and has international experience of delivering business growth strategies through licensing and strategic alliances in many different manufacturing sectors Treasurer of the Institute of International Licensing Practitioners (IILP), John is however at his happiest, when not helping clients, climbing up mountains or skiing down them.

David Mooring
David Mooring

David has held management positions in manufacturing and retail industries before moving into consultancy.  Since 1973 he has specialised in licensing and technology transfer initially in his own partnership and later as a director of Pax Technology Transfer Ltd. and MD of Pax and a VP of Utek Corp. in the USA.   David was previously a director of the IILP.  Outside work, his happiness comes from playing big church organs and flying small aeroplanes.

Elaine Rhodes

Elaine Rhodes heads the team responsible for delivering our services to clients. The team has worked together and built up an extensive network of facilitators. This large group of people work in a number of different global territories and industries but all have a "common denominator" in that they are all involved with technology-based business opportunities. Business consultants, patent agents and licensing specialists are just some that make up these contacts working in every corner of the globe, in their own way helping small spin-out companies, large corporates, research institutes, government labs, universities and even individuals and SMEs to reach new and bigger markets by partnering with others. They are all contacts who are used to working with us to find the right opportunity for our client.

In addition to this network of people (whose access to and knowledge of valuable opportunities may well be hidden from public view), we also co-operate with the broad spectrum of technology transfer and business networks whose role it is to match companies and opportunities.  Our years of experience and our wide network effectively mean that we can reach more companies, individuals, universities and intermediaries than can our clients - or even our competitors.
